The Department of political science was established in the year 1975, with the combinations of History and Economics
Objectives:

To provide students with a through knowledge and understanding of public policy and administration on both a theoretical and practical level.
Political science is the systematic study of politics and its connection to human life as a whole. It focuses on the way people are governed and govern themselves in a wide verity of settings including the state, workplace, schools, and the family the way in which governments in those settings affects their life chances and shapes their sense of self.
Political science also provides excellent preparation for career in law, government, teaching, journalism, business and the non profit sector.

Maintaining student profile along with the social economic academic background.
Students are given necessary help and guidance. Providing counseling for their career options.
Motivating students to participate in curricular and co-cucurricular and extra curricular activities.
